you could put a password on your WiFi so know one can hack it or if your laptop get robbed you could put a password on it so they can get into your account and look at all your private stuff 

encryption means that it is something that keeps your personal things safe it makes it a code so people cant hack your account.

iPhone 5 and galaxy s4. I would choose the galaxy because it has more ram than the iPhone the galaxy has a better rear camera and front camera galaxy s4 has a SD card slot up to 64gb and the iPhone don't have a SD card slot. galaxy has double the amount of battery life than the iPhone.

If i had the money to spend on any of these i would buy the iPad because it has a bigger screen and it has more internal storage it hasn't got as much ram as the Samsung Galaxy tab. and it is worth the money it dear but apple is a good company and its well known.
